Drive and drift shooting
|
|
The concept of this drill is to get players to understand how and where to move in reacting to a teammates drive to the hoop. On a baseline drive from one side of the floor it is often advantageous for the offside wing to "drift" to the corner to create a passing angle. The players start in two lines and the first person in the drift line starts without a ball. As driver goes baseline, the offside wing drifts. After the pass has been made, the driver moves quickly to the top curling to square their feet for a shot. All players get their own rebound and move to the opposite lines. The drill should be done from both sides of the floor. |
